Melissa Strawser, Artist, Author of EVERYDAY ART, Folk Art book raised in a socio-economic family setting with self-taught folk artists, she is 4th generation with a studio art practice in sculpture and intaglio printmaking since the age of 19. Her first run book is nearly sold out and pre-purchase orders are not available for the second run. This is a 'loving tribute' to mothers and daughters and a devotion to the arts that has a deeply woven fabric of history that was adorned by a beautiful self-taught, primitive folk painter and Pennsylvania Dutch (German) heritage. In celebration of the 500th year of Martyrs' Mirror, illuminated manuscripts with folk art in a popular culture; this book is a celebration of 5 generations of Women in Folk Art with historical, generational artistry and creative genius.
